Poll Time(:

Who's the best Rapper?

Vote in your comments(:  I only did a few major ones, because otherwise I'd be up all night!

1. Drake

This newbie has scored big.  His first single, Forever, burned up the charts, and Drake rocketed to fame.  So let's look back at his life before the limelight.
Aubrey Drake Graham, born October 24, 1986, makes Drake one of the younger rappers.  The Canadian had a decent acting career, appearing in commercials and finally scoring a role in Degrassi.  Infamous as the injured boy in a wheel chair, Drake went on to record an album, Thank Me Later.  Not anticipating his success, Drake quickly sky rocketed and stole the hearts of thousands of girls.  Drake has a smooth voice, often breaking into song in the middle of each rap.  Although he's made a name for himself, starring in the documentary about himself, Better Than Good Enough, and becoming the face of Sprite, Drake's voice can easily be mistaken for Lil Wayne.

2. Lil Wayne

This megastar is best known for his unique voice.  In and out of jail for weed and weapon possession, Lil Wayne has had tons of chart toppers and is known for partying hard.  So, what defines his success?
Lil Wayne's career has countless chart toppers.  He's one of the most well known rappers and most beloved.

Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr was born September 27, 1979.  He grew up in New Orleans.  Signed at age 9, Lil Wayne shifted from group to group, finally going solo in 1999.  His debut album sold over a million copies.  Lil Wayne released several more albums, and the hit single Lollipop.  His newest hit 6 foot 7 is known worldwide.

Many of Lil Wayne's fans are infatuated with his way of words.  Lil Wayne using rock hard similes and metaphors that gives depth to his songs.  Lil Wayne's  lyrics are graffitied world wide and sketched upon notebooks in classrooms across America.

His moderate acting career isn't substantial, but his loyal fans recognize his face whenever he makes a guest appearance in a movie.  His distinguishable voice has brought him tons of fame.

3. Eminem

Eminem is one of the most respected artists by his fans.  After a rocky start, this star gained his greatest fame in 2010 after his single, Love the Way You Lie featuring Rihanna, swept radio stations worldwide.
Marshall Bruce Mathers III was born October 17, 1972.  Dr. Dre discovered Eminem, advising him through his journey in the music industry.  Eminem quickly became a controversial rapper after his debut single, My Name Is.  Eminem gained success early in his career, but he was made a megastar with the release of Love the Way You Lie.

Eminem is a father, with three daughters.  He is worried about embarrassing them and does not "cuss" in the house, but clearly in his songs.

Eminem's songs are either him and a guest artist, or only himself while he also sings the chorus such as, Not Afraid.

Eminem is one of the few decent white rappers and gives other rappers a run for their money.  With his success of Love the Way You Lie, Eminem is sure to have many more songs overplayed on the radio.
