Mean Girls 2- Beckoning for Disaster

             Mean Girls 2.

We've all seen the previews for the sequel.
But, how can a movie go from this: . . .

  to this?

Obviously, everyone has their doubts.  Mean Girls was one of the funniest movies of our generation, with an amazing cast, but Mean Girls 2's cast?  Almost all of the actors are from Disney.

But maybe there's more?

Or not.

The only visible similarities between the two movies, besides the name, are that there is a similar plot line, the same principal, and popular girls nicknamed the plastics.

So is this sequel amazing or a total fail?

Well, besides the fact that the movie is about a girl named Jo befriending an outcast and taking down the . . . wait, haven't we heard this before?

This made-for-TV movie isn't even hitting theaters, it's going straight to DVD/Blu-Ray.

One of the most surprising aspects about this sequel is the fact that it is rated PG-13.  Judging from the previews, it should be rated L for lame.  So why is it rated PG-13?
"for some rude and suggestive material, and for some language."
That doesn't sound too bad, so why was Mean Girls rated PG-13?
"for sexual content, language, and teen partying."
So . . .  it doesn't have any parties?  I thought this movie was about high school?

Besides the fact that Mean Girls was an amazing movie, maybe this movie could be good by itself, sort of separated from Mean Girls.  Even if we did separate the two, would it still be a good movie?  Nope.

I don't know about you, but this is not a movie I'll be buying or getting from Netflix ever.
